Our justice system is a cornerstone of our community. The role of a judge is to safeguard the principles of fairness, impartiality, and integrity.
TaKasha’s background as an attorney and public servant influences her approach to rulings and justice. It has deepened her understanding of everyday people and everyday experiences.
As your candidate, TaKasha is committed to ensuring that our courts remain a beacon of justice for all.
When TaKasha asked if I would be willing to serve as the Honorary Chair for her campaign, my answer was an easy yes. I'm honored to stand with her.
Fairness is a cornerstone of the rule of law and judges are tasked with interpreting and applying the law impartially, without favoritism or bias. TaKasha Francis will ensure fairness in the legal process by treating everyone with respect, basing her decisions on the applicable laws and legal principles, and interpreting and applying the law without bending it to suit personal preferences.
As a judge, TaKasha will establish the courtroom's tone by exemplifying professionalism, dignity, and respect for all. She is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring that everyone engaging with the court is treated with respect and receives assistance in a professional and helpful manner.
In our community, there's a lack of awareness about the inner workings of the court system and the legal rights that individuals have. TaKasha Francis is dedicated to demystifying the courthouse experience, bridging the gap between the community and the government. She aims to achieve this through outreach efforts, educational initiatives, and civic engagement. TaKasha will champion and pioneer programs promoting civic education, pro bono services, and resource allocation for those in need. Actively participating in relevant discussions and activities, she seeks to contribute to the overall improvement of public services and legal understanding.
At times, dealing with the legal system can be slow and confusing, leading to delays and frustration for both lawyers and those involved in legal cases. TaKasha plans to examine existing processes to find ways to make things better, remove unnecessary steps, and develop practical solutions for implementation to enhance efficiency. She also intends to harness technology to provide better access and efficiency without compromising the fairness of the legal process.
